Hey there,
I believe therapy is a unique place where we can find words for things that are often unspeakable. I seek to provide a supportive space where we can work toward an understanding of your sense of meaning and how you relate to yourself, others, and the world. Often there are no simple answers, especially when the question is complicated by difficult experiences, unexamined stories, and the demands of life.
I have experience working with issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationships—with self, others, and the broader world. I hope to help navigate the places where you might feel stuck, from a place of connection and genuine investment. I also grew up overseas and have a special interest in working with international clients and those navigating cultural or generational differences.
I am trauma-informed and trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps people process and heal from traumatic experiences. EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to resolve distress, often allowing people to feel less triggered by past events and more grounded in the present.
My basic approach to therapy is existential-humanistic, and I draw from cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness/somatic approaches as well. I believe in developing a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for healing and growth, and I use a flexible, integrative style to meet each person where they are.
