Hey there,
I’m Allie, a licensed mental health counselor associate. I believe we all have strengths and struggles shaped by the lived experiences, systems, and legacies we move through. So often, we only allow part of ourselves to show up. I view therapy as a place that makes room for all of who you are.
I enjoy working from a Person-Centered approach. I see my role as creating a safe and affirming environment where you can get better acquainted with your wants, needs, and values. From here, I help you feel more confident to move in the direction you want to go. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Strengths-Based approaches to help you build skills and explore new ways of thinking and being.
I work with adolescents and adults across a broad range of presenting concerns and topics. I’m particularly passionate about supporting clients as they navigate identity development. I think a lot about how systems shape individuals, and how this plays out in our lives. I bring both professional and lived experience to this understanding, and helping clients navigate that is work I care deeply about.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver, and have four years of experience as a school counselor in Seattle Public Schools.
In my free time, I enjoy junk journaling, crafts, watching horror movies, reading sci-fi books, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time in nature.
